Membership in AAUW
Membership is not by invitation. In principle and practice, AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There are no barriers to full participation in this organization based on gender, race, national origin, creed, age, sexual orientation, or disability.
ELIGIBILITY
- Membership is open to any graduate with an associate or equivalent, Baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university,
- degree from a foreign institution recognized by the International Federation of University Women
- or foreign degree acceptable as a basis for admission by graduate schools at regionally accredited universities of the USA.
- Undergraduates enrolled in a regionally accredited educational institution may become student affiliates of AAUW. Student Affiliates may participate fully in all branch, state, and association programs.

New members joining between January 1 and March 15 pay only one-half Association dues ($23.50), state dues ($16.00), and one-halfÊbranch dues ($8.00), totaling $46.50. New members joining between March 15 and June 30th receive a membership until June 30th of the following year. If two or more new members join at the same event, each pays one-half Association dues ($21.50) plus full state and branch dues, totaling $53.50. Student affiliates pay $33 for Association and state dues plusÊ$16 branch dues.
